Andrew L.

Founder and editor of cardsbench

I'm Andrew. I run cardsbench and write its guides, best lists and alternatives pages.

Every number on the site comes from the card issuer's own pages: fee schedules, terms, country lists and help center articles. The pipeline pulls each value out together with the sentence it came from, and I read that sentence against the source before the value shows as verified. When the issuer's page says nothing, the site says "Not verified" instead of guessing.

I started cardsbench because crypto card comparisons go stale fast. Fees, the countries you can apply from and even whether a card still exists change from one month to the next, and most lists do not keep up. I also run adbench.io, which reviews crypto ad networks with the same rule: official sources only.

What I check before a fact goes live

  • Fees and limits, from the issuer's fee schedule or terms, in the card's own currency.
  • Which countries can apply, from the issuer's own list, never from a third-party site.
  • Whether the card is live, paused or discontinued, from the issuer's announcements.
  • Rewards and the conditions attached to them, such as staking, tiers and monthly caps.

Independence

No issuer pays for a place in a ranking or a list. Where an issuer runs an affiliate program, the card is named in the affiliate disclosure, and the deal never changes the order.
