Complete estimates come first, then cards that leave out a fee the issuer does not list. Cards without a cost estimate come last, ordered by how many of their fees are verified.

One trip to a machine can carry several separate charges:
A fee that is on file is not the total. Treat it as the part you can know in advance.
Abroad, many machines ask whether you want to be charged in your own currency or the local one. That offer is dynamic currency conversion. It sounds helpful, but the machine does the conversion at its own rate, instead of your card doing it at a better one.
Choose the local currency. If the screen shows an amount that looks off, you can usually cancel and start again before any money comes out. Our guide to FX fees and markups abroad explains how the exchange rate, the FX fee and the markup add up.
Our ranking turns these into one estimated net cost. Fees we have not verified are left out and flagged, never counted as zero. The methodology explains how.
Many cards are open only to some countries, so the list changes with where you live. Across all countries it ranks 38 cards. A few examples:
Choose your country in the Card Finder and switch on the ATM filter to see the cards you can get, with a cost estimate for your own spending. For the full picture of how a withdrawal works, read our guide to withdrawing cash with a crypto card.
